A Navy veteran, a Massachusetts family, and an operating company built to do real work on real properties. Patriot Brushworks brings forestry mulching and land clearing to the New England landowners who need it done right.
I grew up a military kid, moving every couple of years until I joined the Navy out of high school. I served twelve years and made it to E-6 before transitioning out and heading to New York City to work as an engineer in tech. That's where I met my wife — a Massachusetts native who eventually pulled me back home.
Between New York and now, I finished my MBA at Duke on the GI Bill and we had two kids. When the second came along, the math on staying in the city stopped working. We moved back to Massachusetts to be closer to family, and I started looking for a way to build something here — something with my hands, on the land, that would still be standing for our kids.
We bought an established landscaping operation as our foundation, and Patriot Brushworks is the next chapter — heavy equipment, real acreage, and the kind of land work most landscapers can't take on. The combination matters: we're not weekend operators who bought a mulcher. We're an operating company with a crew, a maintenance program, real insurance, and a payroll that has to make rent every Friday. When you hire us, you get an operator who understands what it costs to do the job right — and what it costs to do it wrong.
We carry the values we earned in uniform into every project we run — and we hold ourselves to a five-star service standard from the first phone call to the finished property.
Tell the truth. Quote honestly. Do what you said you would do. We name what's included, what's not, and what could go wrong before we ever touch a tree. If we're the wrong fit for your project, we'll tell you that too.
Take responsibility when it counts. Heavy equipment on someone else's land has consequences. We make the hard call when conditions change, we own our mistakes when we make them, and we have the difficult conversation rather than dodge it.
Finish what you start. Show up when you said. Stay until the work is right. We don't disappear mid-project, we don't reschedule for higher-paying jobs, and we don't leave a property until the job is done to standard.
Treat every customer like our reputation depends on them — because it does. Clear communication, on-time arrival, neat work, photo documentation of the finished job, and a follow-up after the dust settles. That's the bar we hold ourselves to on every project.
Patriot Brushworks is a federally certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business — qualified for federal, state, and municipal contracting opportunities under SDVOSB set-aside programs.
Commercial general liability coverage, full equipment insurance, and workers' compensation for our crew. Certificates of insurance available on request before any job starts.
Our operators are trained on tracked mulching equipment and bring real experience working the kind of terrain New England properties throw at you. We understand the rocky soil, the wetland setbacks, and the local invasive species that make this region challenging.
